The Last Tango in Sunnybank - the film

Lucy knows what her mum wants, maybe even mum will find out what that is.

When twelve year old Lucy overhears her mum placing an ad in a Personal Column, “Looking for dance partner”, she knows that her mum is going to need all her help.

The Last Tango in Sunnybank explores a woman’s search for the lost passion in her life, and how far she is willing to go to find it. She is wryly observed by her twelve year old daughter who, as a way of coping with her situation, merges reality with fantasy by creating a semi-fictitious character of her mother. Always hopeful she shares her mother’s romantic inclinations but has her own agenda.
